THE GIFT

Sean is a man bereft. Mourning his wife a year after losing her to cancer. he has decided what must be done. But putting his plan into action isn’t quite so simple.

As Sean plans his own death, life gets in the way. A family who miss him, a demanding landlord, a class of uncontrollable students – Sean tries to ignore these distractions. But, with his own imagination working against him, finding the best method of taking his life becomes his latest frustration.

The Gift is written and produced by Paul FitzSimons and Damian O’Callaghan and directed by Damian O’Callaghan (‘Bouncers’). It stars Alan Devine, Una Kavanagh, Dawn Bradfield and Brendan Grace.

The Gift premiered at the 2015 Kerry Film Festival, screened at the 2016 World of Film Festival in Glasgow and was released into Irish cinemas in April 2017.

BOUNCERS

Bouncers tells the story of two security men who risk everything just to earn a few bob. After finishing college the two characters realises that life hasn’t turned out as they planned it. Davey and Decky find themselves trapped in a dead end job dealing with drunks on a regular basis. David then makes a monumental decision ‘’ it’s time to get out’’ but first he must survive the night. Between the dreaded stag party who are only out for trouble and the scary hen party that cause havoc in their path. Davey discovers that retirement is still a very long night away.

in 2014  ‘Bouncers’  was a part of the official selection for The Cork and Kerry Film Festivals.
